There are 2 preparatory schools in the Tri-County Area: The Hill School, which is world-renowned and home to many distinguished alumni, and the Perkiomen School, which is both a day and boarding co-educational school. Several Catholic schools and Christian private schools are found throughout the area, including the Pine Forge Academy, sponsored by the Seventh Day Adventist Church and provides quality education for a predominately African-American student body. Within a 25-mile radius of Pottstown, there are 6 colleges, including the Albright College, Montgomery County Community College, and Penn State University, nationally recognized as one of the United States' finest institutions.
